PowerSecure, as an integrated solutions provider, engineered, designed, manufactured and installed a 25MW microgrid solution for Yuma Marine Corps Air Station in Yuma, AZ.
Through PowerSecure’s Interactive Distributed Generation (IDG), a full-service, comprehensive approach to demand response and standby power requirements provided 100 percent energy coverage base-wide, mitigating external electrical grid failures, and providing backup power to cover the base’s current and projected energy requirements.
PowerSecure’s IDG Tier 4 Final on-site generation asset, coupled with integrated battery storage systems and PowerSecure switchgear, afforded the ability to monitor and service the system 365/24/7, control and dispatch generating assets, energy storage resources and load assets needed to optimize the microgrid’s performance.
With industry-leading reliability, PowerSecure improved the economics for energy surety at Yuma by capturing value from the energy markets to further provided to the benefit of the utility and the customer.
